GPS TRANSPONDERS – East Coast Watercross

For the first time ever GPS Transponders will be used for the entire season! we will be using these across all Tri Force race series that includes Pro Watercross National Tour, ECW and all of Nauti Water Racing!

You may recall in the past we did some testing with these units from My Laps in Sylvan Beach NY and they were a big success, it has taken some time to get the technology up to where we needed it to make the investment and that time has come! We will be rolling these out in Lake Alfred Florida with the help of Live Timing Scoring the same company that does pro Supercross, Motocross, Baja 1000 and King of the Hammers!

Coming from the motocross world we have been using non gps based transponders for decades and it is incredible that we have not brought them into jet ski racing but finally with the help of sponsors like Steve Hotchkiss helping us fund the program we are proud to be the first to bring it to the sport for the full season and years to come! Other race series will be right behind us and before you know it, just like in motocross, eventually you will not be able to find a race in the country that you can go to without at transponder!

These units will solve many problems with laps counting and split timing as well as line holding off the starts and also missed buoys! we plan to attach GPS transponders on buoys and work with the tech side of things to be able to capture missed buoys and eventually you may see a full track of GPS monitored buoys in the future!

We will have pre registration live soon and racers will create their own profile and be able to use it across all Tri Force series

For 2026 these units will be rental based ONLY! you will not be purchasing units this year as the technology in the units is being upgraded as we speak so in 2027 we will have options to purchase so racers can own the transponders themselves but for 2026 you would be wasting your money if you were to buy them on your own (the option is there but its a poor investment at $600 a unit) We will roll out pricing soon on rentals.
