Championship Weekend Info:

We have just opened Pre Reg for the 2017 East Coast Watercross Tour Finale in Niantic CT, Pre Reg will close 9/21/17 at 11am!!

The official parking/awards area/truck accessible boat launch is at Cini Memorial Park, River Rd, Niantic CT 06357 ( Google Maps brings you to this location) There is paved parking, a truck boat launch, and beach access for ATV/UTV launching. Trailers can be left overnight ( no security is provided). UTV and ATV will be allowed to move watercraft from parking lot to beach ( approx. .5 mile of paved and beach driving) if racers do not want to launch at parking lot.

Racers that are launching your jet skis at Cini Park please refrain from taking your ski  up into the river, it’s a no wake zone area. So please stay Oceanside there’s plenty of it to warm your to ski up.

NO ATV/UTV on boardwalk !!!!

The Town of East Lyme, CT is offering primitive ( no electric, only public restrooms) camping in their town park : McCook Park. Camping is by tent or trailer at the cost of $10 per night payable on site at Registration. Camping is typically not permitted at this park, they are opening this for you athletes as a special service. ATV/UTV’s are permitted to load and unload skis on the attached beach which allows athletes to ride by water .5 miles down the beach line to the wet pit area. No open containers in park. No free riding of ATV/UTV, no Pitbikes.

Be advised that there will be a 5K run starting at 9 a.m. On Saturday at mccook’s beach at the lower lot. If you’re staying over at mccook’s, parked in the upper lot which is the closest to the race venue.

You can launch from that area and also allowed to keep your skis on the beach at mccook’s.

Hotels in the area are Boutique style and pricey, however the city recommends 2 options as lower priced alternatives: The Days Inn, Niantic or the Sleep Inn Niantic.

The Days Inn have blocked a group of rooms at the rate of $99/night single bed, $110/night double. Please call 1-860-739-3951 and ask for the East Coast Watercross special.

A site layout and camping layout will be posted when provided by the City Officials.

People that are staying hotels or coming in for the day your best bet is to go to Cini Park 20 Main Street Niantic. There is a spot  right where the East Coast watercross truck is ,where you can just back your trailer using your truck to into the river to Launch.  If you have an ATV you can still launch your ski at the same location on the Ocean Side from the beach.
If there’s Racers coming in with oversize large rigs you can launch and park over night at the state deep boat launch in Waterford Connecticut.  ( Only use this if Cini Memorial Fills up)
Do not enter the “hole in the wall beach” entrance with trucks and trailers you’ll have a hard time turning around if you make that mistake. That area is for cars only and Spectators parking.
